I can't think of a better photo to submit for my 100th deviation than a purely magical moment I managed to capture at the 謙信公祭 (Kenshin Kousai) in Joetsu.
Gackt portrayed the 16th century warlord, Uesugi Kenshin, on the NHK taiga drama, 風林火山 (Fuurinkazan). Kenshin lived in Kasugayama Castle in Joetsu City and every year, they have a samurai procession and a re-enactment of one of the many battles from the time. Because of his ties with the drama, he appeared in Joetsu live at the procession and this shot... oh this shot.
It was luck. It was magic. It was fate!
(At the advice of a good friend, I put a copyright/watermark across the photo, as Gackt is super popular among online communities and DA isn't really the artists' safehaven everyone would like it to be... there are theives everywhere. So, to protect my own work, I had to mar the shot with the mark. I hate to do it, but she has a point!!)
Due to some un-credited manipulations going on, regardless of the watermarking, I've disabled download of the image file and added the DA mark on top of mine. Sorry, folks, but that's how it goes.

"The beauty of religious mania is that it has the power to explain everything. Once God (or Satan) is accepted as the first cause of everything which happens in the mortal world, nothing is left to chance... logic can be happily tossed out the window." SK
You took this photo?!?! I saw this photo on other sites before and I thought it was taken by one of those pro photographers for media or something. O_O You've got skills and luck dear.
I did. It has made the rounds on the internet... and often without proper credit, unfortunately. Still, I am happy to share it with the GACKT lovers of the world!!
I still bless my luck on that day!

He probably really was! I was with my other foreign friend... two obvious non-Japanese standing a foot above everyone else around us... we kind of stood out!
